Mrs J. Preddy, Aberdeen Road, who has a long association with scouts and cubs in Gisborne, was host recently to Mr and Mrs Sam Kupp Swami of Suva, Fiji. Mr Swami is assistant district commissioner for scouts in Suva, and visited New Zealand for the recent jamboree.
How's this for a nice 16-pointer, shot in the Haiarau range (between Lake Waikaremoana and the Waioeka Gorge), and considered the best head from that part of the country for many years. Hunter with trophy is Mr E. L. Nelson, 10 Cochrane Street, whose companion on the Easter hunt was Mr G. Gordon.
