Circus In Town

After touring the East Coast, Sole Brothers Circus and Zoo recently paid a four day visit to Gisborne, bringing with them a convoy of trucks, cars, and caravans, along with two "twisting" elephants, seven roaring jungle lions, and a cart-load of monkeys.

Attractively situated in the old Turanganui golf links, the circus soon attracted hundreds of people, the majority of whom were youngsters captivated by the many unusual sights the circus had to offer.
