Fishing Up The Coast
Gisborne fishermen who have had to award fishing day competition prizes to "tiddlers" will view with envy these pictures illustrating a recent Waipiro Bay Fishing Club contest.
Contest winners were Glassy Harrison (36lb kingfish), Jack Collins (25 1/2 lb kingfish), Brian Alley (15lb snapper), Eru Harrison (14 1/2 lb king-fish).

A regatta was also held, and here are Mr and Mrs Colin Peach, Tokomaru Bay, who won the 3 to 5 h.p. event after a very close race.
