Anzac Day

The weather was fine and the tide was full for the annual Anzac Day parade at Gisborne, and although the parade was smaller than last year's, it was an impressive spectacle. "We do not meet to remember great battles," said the speaker, the Rev. J. C. A. Williams, "but to honour a tradition, when in the face of failure, defeat and tragedy at Gallipoli, a moral courage was born."
