Morere Road

With virtually no further progress being made on the reconstructed length of road at the top of Morere hill, and with winter fast approaching, it would appear that motorists travelling south from Gisborne will once again have to negotiate a bog of mud and slush. However, they are assured of a completely sealed highway from Morere onwards in the very near future, and from Gisborne to Morere within three years.
