Jumping Show

A large crowd saw the visiting Australian horse jumping team win the official test and the first inter-Dominion jumping trophy at the Gisborne branch of the New Zealand Horse Society's jumping show at the Gisborne Showgrounds last month.

Although four faults behind the New Zealand A team at the end of the first round, the Australians made a good recovery and jumped a clear second round to win the event by a four fault mar-Sin.

The Australians also claimed many major places in other events at the show.
