Archery

Although almost as old as man himself, archery is still a florishing sport in today's modern world.

The enthusiastic followers in Poverty Bay, among them world champion, Jim Burton, have two clubs operating, one in town and the other in Patutahi.

Photo News took the photos on this page at Anzac Park recently when members from the Southern Cross Club (Patutahi) were competing in an invitation tournament with archers from the Gisborne club.
