The Parade Of Homes
Gisborne's second Parade of Homes, in Turenne Street, Kaiti, was visited by thousands of people during the week in mid-February when it was open for public inspection. Twelve houses were displayed, ranging in price from £2750 to £3150, and some astonishment was evoked by the obvious good value provided by these price tickets. The lowest-priced house had a floor area of 998 sq.ft., including three bedrooms.

Often there were queues waiting to inspect the houses.
