Glen, a familiar competitor at Gisborne sheepdog trials, shakes hands with his owner, Mr J. Wedd, before an admiring audience. Glen took third place (N.I.) and second place (N.Z.) in the national championships at Taradale last year.

Oddest-looking potato brought in to "Photo News" this season was this one grown by Mr Jack Rowe, 8 Desmond Road. It got mixed up with a wire clip, looks a bit like a sheep at rest in a paddock, or a jug, or something.

Dr and Mrs Hall, so well remembered at Cook Hospital, and now residents of Paihia, Bay of Islands, are seen in this photograph outside the Kemp house at Keri Keri (the first wooden building erected in New Zealand). The Halls are at present on a short trip to Japan aboard the Port Montreal.
