Gisborne Songs Recorded

Several months ago Gisborne's song-writer, Mrs Margaret Raggett, hopefully sent some of her compositions to Stebbings Recording Company (Zodiac Label) in Auckland. Much to her joy three of them were accepted.

Early last month recording expert Eldred Stebbings and multi-guitarist Peter Posa came to Gisborne, and with the Kini Quartette doing the vocal, tape-recorded the tunes. On returning to Auckland Mr Stebbings put two of the tunes, "Hard Times are Coming" and "Te Kota-hitanga", on record to be released before Christmas.
