Under The Famous Tree

The pupils, who arrived in the late afternoon, took part in a basketball match, had tea, enjoyed a social evening, and bedded down in two of the classrooms, before leaving next morning.

Up at Te Araroa recently, a notable occasion was a visit by 35 pupils of the Pukekohe High School to the Rerekohu Maori District High School. The party is seen above under the pohutukawa tree, reputed to be the largest in the world.
