Indoor Bowls Champions

Top players from 18 indoor bowls clubs competed recently for the Champion of Champions awards of the Poverty Bay-Bast Coast Indoor Bowling Association. The games were held in the R.S.A. Club's hall in Wainui Road.

Although the Association was formed only in 1955, there are already 1084 players affiliated, belonging to 31 clubs in the district, which extends from the Mohaka River to East Cape. In this year alone, seven additional clubs, with 165 players, have affiliated.
