Gisborne had a "big blow" from the south last month (above), which brought a cold snap with a real bite to it. The gale stirred up the bay so much that one of the moored bouys broke away and washed ashore on Waikanae Beach, Salvaged from there, it was given a good clean-up (below) before going back on duty.
