Mangaone Caves

Gisborne district is rich in natural wonders, and nowhere is this more evident than in the Morere-Mangaone-Ruakituri area, which has an abundance of waterfalls and caves. It is in this area that BP-Shell and Todd are boring for oil.

These pictures, taken by Arthur Norgrove, illustrate an expedition made by members of the Youth Hostel Association to the Mangaone caves.
