Gold Star Presented

At a recent function in the Gisborne Fire Brigade's social hall, the fireman's Gold Star Medal, marking 25 years of service, was presented to Fireman-Driver S. Forbes.

The presentation was made by Mr P. Habitt, of Napier, junior vice-president of the United Fire Brigades' Association.

Fireman-Driver Forbes joined the service in 1917, and in the course of his duties has attended 1330 fire calls.
