Skaters in Full Flight

No other sport readily accessible to the young people of Gisborne provides so fully for the development of speed and grace as roller skating, and on the magnificent rink at the Alfred Cox Memorial Park in Grey Street, they may be seen any weekend during the summer practising the finer points of their sport. Although there is a serious lack of good instructors here, a high degree of skill has been attained by some local skaters, particularly Ken Aberhart. In pictures on this page, Ken is seen in action with Karen Duncombe, and at the top of the next page with Judith Richards.
