Polo in the Sun

Brilliant weather prevailed for the annual three-day tournament of the Poverty Bay Polo Club held recently on the club's ground at Bushmere Road at Matawhero. A number of visiting teams competed, and the major titles were won by the Taupiri team from the Waikato, which won both the Open and Handicap cups.

On the club's attractively situated grounds, with the Gisborne hills in the background, the camera records a scene in the match between Poverty Bay and Taupiri.
