Y. F. C
Shearing Contest

Fleeces were shorn and bales filled in double-quick time at Mr G. R. Black's Pakowhai Station, Muriwai one Saturday afternoon this month when the Young Farmers' shearing contests of the Wellington Council were held there.

Gisborne district entrants came second in the teams' event, but otherwise the titles went to outside competitors.

But if the visitors took away the prizes, they left behind them praise for the way in which Gisborne-East Coast ran the tourney.
