David Morrow, son of Mrs B. Morrow, 264 Stout Street, who has completed a year's training at Flock House, when he received his Certificate of Agriculture, and won a merit award for shepherding and the House's Ideal Trainee Cup. He has taken up employment on an Awakino sheep station.

Two members of the Cook Hospital staff who received awards of the C.B.E. in the New Year Birthday Honours, Mr D. H. McLeod, foreman orthopaedic technician, and Sister G. M. Wilson, sister in charge of the geriatric ward, were honoured by members of the Hospital Board and staff members at a recent social gathering. They are seen above with the gifts they received to mark the occasion.
