Ian Wright and Ross Ferguson, pupils of Gisborne Boys' High School, the first from the school for 16 years to win University Entrance Scholarships. Both are attending Victoria University, Wellington, this year.

Three members of the Power Board staff with a combined service totalling 101 years were honoured at a recent social function. Left to right in the group are Mr A. E. Reunited at Darton Field in this picture, after an interval of 14 years, are Mr and Mrs E. R. Renner, 83 Iranui Road, and their son, Mr I. W. Renner, D. F. C., an ex-bomber pilot who took up farming in England after his retirement from the Air Force. Now married with four sons, Mr Renner is back in Gisborne for a short visit to see his parents and meet old friends.
