Gisborne's new High School on the corner of Lytton Road and Hapara Road, near the new Lytton Road bridge, is making good progress, and is scheduled to take its first pupils at the beginning of the school year on February 1. Picture shows the big classroom block as it was last week.

What surely must be the wettest summer on record in Gisborne has made many residents feel they are iiving on the West Coast in a nor'west year.
