Christmas... it's a wonderful time....

Already Christmas is more than a month past, but the memories of this happy time of the year still linger in the minds of both young and old.

"Photo News" couldn't hope to attend more than a fraction of the many parties we were invited to. In the pictures which follow we have tried to capture the happiness which the festive season brings to the children.

Among the Cisborne youngsters who most enjoyed the arrival of Santa Claus were the district's crippled children. They had a real high time at the pensioners' hall in Palmerston Road, where we took these two pictures of groups assembled in front of the Christmas tree. Some were in wheel chairs, some were on crutches, and some wore plaster casts, but all forgot their disabilities in the enjoyment of the happy occasion.
