A Barrow For Her Birthday.
When her family asked Mrs J. T. Dixon, of 4 Muir Street, what she would like for her 90th birthday, guess what the reply was. a Barrow. So they bought her a nice, gaily-painted light barrow which she will use in the garden.

At left is the new matron of the Health Camp, Mrs "Bobby" Candy.
In the lower picture the Mayor, Mr Barker, is seen making a presentation to the retiring matron, Miss F. H. Brown, who has been in charge of the camp for 7 years.
The first Queen's Guide award recipients are shown at right. From top to bottom they are Mary Burton and Elizabeth Foster, of the Gisborne Company,
and Helen Falkiner, of Aranga Company. with Helen is the Aranga captain, Mrs H. Stoneley, wife of a geologist with the BP, Shell & Todd company, who has since left Gisborne.
