George Morrell, of Derby Street, one of Gisborne's most outstanding pupils, is seen above with some of his trophies. George, who is a pupil of Edmund Campion College, is an athlete as well as a scholar. The cups, from left, are: Marist O.B. Cup, senior athletics championship, George is the first Gisborne boy to pass the Trinity College, London, Associate speech examination.

Mr Graham Brittenden, formerly of Gisborne, pictured at Durban with an African ricksha boy. Mr Brittenden visited South Africa last year to follow the All Blacks, and has now taken up employment.in Johannesburg. He intends touring Great Britain and France in 1963-64 following the All Blacks before returning to New Zealand early in 1965.

Sgt (W) Kini Porou (Wrnzaf), youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Porou, Muriwai, who has taken up the position of personal assistant to the N. Z. Military Adviser's representative to Seato in Bangkok, She will be away from New Zealand for two years.

Diane, the Kawakawa Hotel proprietors' daughter, is the only pakeha girl in the High School.
