Three prominent Rugby administrators in Gisborne, two of whom have left the district in recent weeks. At left is Mr Eric Halstead, who has transferred to Auckland. Eric was president of the Referees' Association here and the association's representative on the P.B. Rugby Union. He also served as liaison officer for touring Rugby teams. He was also a member of the P.B. -E.C. Bowling Centre for 10 years, and president for a term. Centre is Mr Phil Fargher, Dept. of Agriculture meat inspector, who has transferred to New Plymouth. He was a member of the Old Boys Football Club for 22 years, and was on the Union executive for four years. He was also a past president of the R.O.B. Cricket Club. At right is Mr W. ("Bill") Carrington, who has been coach of the rep team this season with considerable success. Bill is an ex Maori All Black.

Mr S. D. Reeves, of Pakarae, president of Federated Farmers of N.Z., who has been selected as National candidate for Gisborne at the forthcoming general election.
