Harriers in the Mud

Although the weather was perfectly fine, conditions underfoot were extremely wet for the annual shield contest between Hawkes Bay and Gisborne harriers, held at Hansen's Road recently.

Gisborne's Alan Parkinson had a good win in the senior event, but in the junior race Napier filled the first four places. The shield was retained by the visitors.
