Our Unchanging Skyline

Last issue we illustrated some of the many new buildings which are changing the skyline of Gisborne.

On this page we show three scenes in the business and commercial area in which big changes are scheduled, but for various reasons no progress is yet visible.

The courthouse, gutted by fire last August. It is understood that plans for a new building are being drawn.

Plans are afoot for a new building on the Government Life corner.

×
     

T. & G. Insurance will replace this block with a five-storey building when town planning requirements are ironed out.
