The Three Bridges

There is much bridge-building activity going on at the moment on the East Coast highway about 46 miles north of Gisborne, betweenTolaga Bayand Tokomaru Bay. Although four bridges are being renewed in the area, the project is called the "Three Bridges'" because three replacements are close together at Hikuwai. When the work is completed, it will be a big step forward in reliable communications on the East Coast. (Pictures By Eastland Photographers.)
