Some of the abundant produce of the Gisborne district is plentifully displayed in this picture taken in the Salvation Army Citadel following the recent harvest thanks-giving service.

New ship on maiden voyage photographed during first visit to Gisborne is the Royal Interocean Line's Tjimanuk. She came in empty and riding high in the water, to load 200 tons of tallow in drums.

Tjimanuk was so high out of water that her propeller was visible, and threshed the water violently as the ship moved down the channel.
