Brian George Davidson, second son of Mr and Mrs George Davidson, 36 Stanley Road, who left this month for Victoria, Australia, to train for the ministry at "Glen Iris" Bible College (the Associated Churches of Christ). Brian has been a keen Boys' Brigade leader and rose to the rank of Lieutenant of the 4th Gisborne Company.

Constable B.J.W. Simpson was recently farewelled at Te Araroa prior to his leaving to take up farming in the Raglan district. Constable Simpson served at Te Araroa for 8½ years, and prior to that was at Gisborne and Auckland. Both he and Mrs Simpson are ex-Gisborne residents.
