A Fine Effort

The appeal for the World Refugee Organisation is £6 the richer for the fine effort of Ashley and Sally Lawrence, who, with the aid of Desmond Sargent and Kevin Zame, organised a Sale of Work of their own recently. They made driftwood ornaments, and renovated toys. Above, they are seen ready for business, with their wares spread out in rich array. Left to rights: Desmond, Kevin, Ashley and Sally.

The sale was patronised by members of the Baptist Women's Missionary Union, and was opened by the Rev. I. Christensen. Below, at left, Mr Christensen is seen starting the ball rolling by buying his son Timothy an aeroplane. At right, some of the customers.
