Off to Sydney on a holiday trip is Mrs W. H. Jones, of Ormond, who is aged 86. She flew across last week. Mrs Jones (left) originally came from Australia. She crossed the Tasman in a sailing ship when she was two years old. The trip took six weeks. Going back to visit her daughter, the trip took about half that number of hours. With Mrs Jones is a life-long friend, Mrs B. Moar, 44 Centennial Crescent.

We don't know how Drew Stein & his girl friend Sharyn Read came to get on this page unless it was because their idea of locomotion is a good old-fashioned one. Drew rigged up this tandem bike so he and Sharyn could get along together.
