Indoor Bowls in Fancy Dress
An indoor bowls night with a difference was staged by members of the Poverty Bay Indoor Bowling Club recently, when most of the club players were decked out in fancy dress. The occasion was a night put on to entertain members of the Fire Brigade.
A grand parade of those in costume started the evening. The costumes were judged and Mrs G. McFarlane as a High School boy.
Mr George Wells, who looked like a cross between Robinson Crusoe and the Banana Boat song, were judged the best
Charlie Lloyd was shipwrecked in the seaweed.
