The 1939 Snow

Following publication in last issue of a picture of snow in Gisborne, a number of readers have sent in similar pictures.

The correct date of the fall was apparently July 27, 1939.

Mrs Maud Legg, Huxley Road, took this picture looking down Tyndall Road towards Kaiti Hill.

Two pictures by Mr H. J. Dunstan, sent in by Mrs W. Hodgson, Cobden Street, show the snow at the Botanical Gardens and on Kaiti Hill.
