School Football
In the Rugby match, Gisborne Boys' High School v. Napier Boys' High School, Gisborne was considered fortunate to have held the visitors to a 9-all draw.
Each school will hold the Board of Governors' cup for six months.
The match was played at Rugby Park on the day of the First Test.
Later, Gisborne played Hamilton and Hastings, losing both games.
