Sea Rangers' New Boats

When the Pateke came into Gisborne harbour one day early this month, it was quite an occasion for the girls of the local Sea Rangers troop. On board were two new boats named Liana and Karere for the troop.

Pictures here show the girls getting some elementary instruction in rigging the craft from John Robertson of the Takitimu Sea Scouts.

In centre of picture above with John, is the troop's skipper, Miss W. L. O'Halloran.
