Roving Camera

When City Council decided a block of land between upper Aberdeen Road and the Taruheru River should be acquired and developed for housing, a storm of newspaper correspondence assailed the project, and objections were received to the extent that the matter will now be submitted to a poll of ratepayers.

Six years in the Brigade: Badges and certificates won.
Rex Heyworth, son of Mr and Mrs W. Heyworth, Ormond Road, who was recently awarded the Queen's Badge, the highest award in the Boys' Brigade. Rex is now in his second year at Victoria University, studying for his B.Sc. degree.
