Skate Hockey

An exciting final was a feature of the roller skate hockey tournament held at Gisborne during Queen's Birthday weekend.

Gisborne and Napier tied in the final, which Napier won on a countback.

Our photographs illustrating this new and exciting game were taken earlier in the tournament when Gisborne played Te Aroha.

This fine shield, presented by the club president, Mr E. C. Richards, was the trophy at stake. Here it is held by the donor and Mr Fred Rogers, Hastings, chairman of the national referees' panel.
