Animal Poker School

Last issue we featured the clever antics of dogs and a deer in Palmerston Road. This time the animal pranks come from Parikanapa Station, somewhere beyond Waerenga-o-kuri, where Messrs W. C. Beer and F. Kemsley got to work one morning with a camera.

Three dogs settle down to a poker session, with bottles, glasses, poker faces and all.

The goats try their hand at the game. Well, many a poker-player feels like a goat when the game's over.

Life's not all play and no work, unfortunately, so the dogs get on with the milking. One holds Daisy by the lead, another has a firm grip on the leg-rope, while the third has the bucket ready for business.
