"New Look" Sunday School

Following the lead given by Papatoetoe Baptist Church, a "new look" Sunday School which caters for whole families has been started at the Gisborne Baptist Church. Babies, toddlers, school-children, teenagers, parents and grandparents are all catered for. The aim is to build and maintain complete church families, and widen and maintain greater interest in the church. Experiment has been highly successful. In Papatoetoe nearby homes had to be used to accommodate overflow from church buildings.

The oldest and the youngest: illustrating extreme age range of those attending are Oldest Member Percy Sargisson, who is by no means as young as he looks, and the Minister's baby Debbie, here being settled down by her mother before she begins teaching an adult class.
