Gisborne Children's Art

An interesting sequel to a display of child art from other parts of the world was a recent showing at the Gisborne art gallery of paintings, sketches & models by Gisborne school students.

Whereas with the international paintings, it was possible to decide the country of origin from the subjects portrayed, it was difficult to discern any national character in the local paintings.

Nevertheless, those exhibited showed a consistently high standard of ability and craftsmanship.
