Huts on the Move

Three army huts on the previous site of the Te Hapara Baptist Church were moved on a recent Saturday morning (a wet one) to their new location at Waiteata Park, Russell Street.

With a small group of voluntary workers, the huts were moved with the aid of three lorries and a crane truck.

Now at Waiteata Park, the huts will serve as headquarters for the Waiteata Scout troop.
