Of interest to Te Araroa residents, past and present, are these pictures of the new Te Araroa Hotel. Since the disastrous fire several years back which destroyed the original building, Te Araroa has been without a proper hotel. This fine new building, recently opened, is a welcome addition to the district.

This unusual pattern is formed by the concrete dividing walls of the new state flats at present being built in upper Aberdeen Road, near the brewery. The construction has progressed considerably since this picture was taken some weeks ago.
