Crowning Glory
There once was a time when the length of a maiden's tresses was indicative of her character and purity. The years, however, have rather changed that ancient concept and the age of long, flowing tresses has long since passed.
A pleasant exception to this rule is to be found with Virginia and Janice Rickard, twin daughters of Mr and Mrs W. Rickard, Manutuke.
Both students at Gisborne Girls High School, Virginia and Janice follow the example of their mother and two elder sisters, who have also preserved their flowing locks. (Pictures by R. E. Alexander)
