Few Gisborne readers will not recognise Aunt Daisy here, who left Gisborne at the end of last year to join her sister in Brisbane, Australia. She is pictured here with a Koala bear (a real live one too) at "Lone Pine". Latest news from Aunt Daisy suggests that she's sadly missing her many Gisborne friends and is thinking hopefully of returning.

Secretary of the Gisborne Trades Council, Mr G. J. Watts, who has been selected by the Government to represent New Zealand trade unionists in Geneva at a special study course sponsored by the International Confederation of Trade Unions. His selection is a tribute to Mr Watts and apt recognition of the contribution he has made to the industrial labour movement both locally and nationally.
Mr Watts will leave for Geneva late next month and will be absent from New Zealand for about 10 weeks.
