Piles for the Bridge

Thousands of Gisborne people, particularly those living in Mangapapa, will be pleased to note the good progress being made with the new Roebuck Road bridge, for which the embankments are now down, and piles are cast. Depending on the steel coming to hand on schedule, the bridge ought to be completed by year's end. Much of the old bridge has been left standing to assist the contractors in their work.
