Skating Is Popular

Any doubts which might have assailed the promoters of the new skating rink at Alfred Cox Park should be well dispelled by now.

The sight of dozens of skaters of all ages circling on the smooth concrete surface of the rink at any of the recent carnivals organised by the local skating club must be sufficient to justify all the planning and work which vent into the project.

Pictures on this page were taken at a recent fancy dress carnival, and show something of the vim and vigour — and skill— with" which the city's younger folk enter into the occasion.
