News of the A. and P. Association's autumn carnival at Gisborne apparently spreads far and wide. This year even a man from Mars dropped in for a short visit. He came in a flying saucer (which looked rather like a flying hat), made an impassioned but unintelligible speech from the ring, and took off again.
