World Class Swimmer

Since appearing at the Macrae Baths, Gisborne, on March 8, the Auckland swimmer, Phillipa Gould, has broken two world records for backstroke. At Auckland she clocked 72.5 sec. for the 110 yards, breaking the existing world 100 metre and 110 yd records. At Gisborne she swam the 100yds in 66.2 sec., which is 4sec off the record.
