Roving Camera

It wasn't only the camera which was roving one night last month. When the Fire Brigade was speeding up Childers Road to a fire in Lytton Road, one of the engines failed to take the corner. It carried away a stop sign missed a power pole by inches, and ended up half way through a fence, headed for the home of Mr and Mrs D. Silvester. Expert driving after the mishap developed kept damage to a minimum and the engine was hauled out after a protracted operation which was watched by hundreds of citizens.
